Gradall Industries Introduces the Longer-Reach SERV FA-70

Gradall Industries is introducing the longer reach Strategic Emergency Response Vehicle [SERV] FA 70 firefighting device. Gradall FA Systems are designed to be mounted on a fire truck to dramatically increase firefighting efficiency and safety. The FA 70 has a 20 meter reach, compared to the 15 meter FA 50, enabling firefighters to reach higher roofs on six to seven-story buildings.

The rugged Gradall hydraulic boom can telescope out 50 feet (15.2 meters), and uses a stainless steel 5th Man nozzle attachment to ventilate buildings by breaking through walls and roofs as well as reaching through windows, rotating up to 220 degrees or swinging to the left and right.

Once inside a burning structure, the 5th Man nozzle has 52 aqua-jet nozzles that direct a massive broken stream curtain of water (or Class A or B foam for chemical fires) into the fire.

Firefighters can control the FA 70 from over 300 feet away, using a wireless remote control device. This allows the firefighter to precisely position the apparatus with an easy-to-use system of controls on the belt-held remote device.

For extra fire truck stability, the FA 70 is equipped with four stabilizers that are also controlled with the wireless remote. The stabilizers telescope out and down and can be positioned all at once or independently, providing short jacking capabilities.
