NEW PHILADELPHIA, OH — The Gradall Company has introduced a unique Tree Limb Shear attachment, designed to enable Gradall® excavators to be used to trim and remove tree limbs with excellent speed and efficiency.
Designed and manufactured by Gradall, the attachment's jaws are powered by the excavator's tool cylinder and controlled by joysticks in the operator's cab, located away from falling debris. Utilizing Gradall boom movements, tilting either 220 or the optional 360 degrees, the shear attachment can be positioned at appropriate cutting angles to productively trim large branches, typically up to 10 or 12 inches in diameter. The attachment also can be used to pick up and pile trimmed branches at the roadside. And because of the low-overhead working requirements of the Gradall telescoping boom, operators are able to maneuver the attachment under other tree limbs or obstructions.>
