NEW GRADALL® XL 3200 III CRAWLER EXCAVATOR CAN DO MORE JOBS IN MORE PLACES

NEW PHILADELPHIA, Ohio – The new Gradall® XL 3200 III crawler excavator, equipped with the famous Gradall telescoping and tilting boom, is designed to deliver optimum versatility and productivity on a wide range of jobs.

A part of the new Series 3 collection of excavators introduced by Gradall Industries, the XL 3200 III has boom forces and cycle times comparable to conventional excavators, but the low profile of the Gradall boom design allows it to work under bridges, trees and other obstructions where a knuckle boom simply won't fit.

The XL 3200 III, weighing 39,616 pounds, has a rated boom force of 22,075 pounds and bucket breakout force of 19,300 pounds, enabling it to handle high production excavation, truck loading and demolition. For grading and finishing work, the high-pressure hydraulics system adjusts automatically to save fuel and eliminate the need for operating mode selection. Unlike boom-end tilting attachments, there’s no loss in boom forces with the full tilting Gradall boom, which can position attachments accurately to maximize productivity.

Joysticks are built into the large, comfortable seating module, where the operator controls the 220 degree boom tilt and telescoping action to 27 feet, 5 inches at ground line or to a dig depth of 19 feet, 2 inches. Using a new in-cab switch, the operator can quickly select the Gradall, Deere or SAE joystick pattern, which can shorten the learning curve for new operators. Operators also appreciate standard air conditioning as well as removable overhead skylight and removable front window.

A new counterweight design shortens the rear swing of the XL 3200 III, allowing it to work on road demolition and grading with only minimal traffic obstruction. Available attachments, which are common to all Series 3 models, include trenching, excavating, ditching, pavement removal and dredging buckets, and a collection of grading blades, rippers, boom extensions, air or hydraulic hammers, augers, grapples and more.

Powered by a new Detroit Diesel 172 horsepower engine, the XL 3200 III has longer service intervals and shares most service parts with other Series 3 models, reducing inventory requirements. By design, most service points can be reached at ground level.
