Gradall Introduces Telestick™ Quick Change Attachment

NEW PHILADELPHIA, Ohio – Gradall® has introduced a new Telestick Quick Change boom extension, designed for fast installation to complement the productivity and versatility of XL 4000 Series II Gradall excavators. Typically, the attachment can be installed in less than 30 minutes using the standard boom-end bucket adapter and two pins. Gradall's high pressure, load sensing hydraulics system powers the boom movement and attachments, using an optional auxiliary hydraulics quick-connect system. For models not equipped with auxiliary hydraulics, a hose is easily installed and protected inside the Gradall triangular boom.

The Telestick boom extension increases the reach and range of XL 4000 Series II excavators to 45 feet, 9 inches (14m). The new hydraulic system also provides an increase in lift capacity. An XL 4000 Series II Gradall excavator, equipped with a Telestick, can be equipped with buckets, blades, grapples and more for hard-to-reach jobs like dredging, sloping, cleaning canals and sediment ponds or removing flood debris.

The 30-minute installation procedure offers a measurable productivity advantage, compared with the three to four hours previously required for Telestick installation. The new installation system incorporates Gradall's quick change bucket adaptor, making it possible to extend the versatility of the Gradall excavator for different jobs on the same project that may or may not require extra reach.
